Eid Festival and Celebrations

24 May 2021

The College and school community came together on Monday after the long Eid weekend to celebrate Eid Al-Fitr with a fun fare and carnival day for students, staff, parents and the wider community.

Eid Festival and Celebrations

Despite a rainy weather forecast, the skies stayed blue and the sun came out to shine on the many bright smiling faces of our students and staff. Many teachers could be spotted joining students in the dodgem cars or on the giant slide, bringing back all time favourite childhood memories or creating new ones for our youngsters.

There were four different rides to enjoy, with most students making use of the pre-purchased all day ride tickets. Henna and face painting stalls inside the TEAMS building were buzzing with activities and very popular with students. Fellow students, staff and parent volunteers were very busy applying beautiful henna designs and colourful face paints from morning to late afternoon. Outside games, sweets, stalls, a sausage sizzle, fairy floss, popcorn, hot chips and more awaited our community.

A special shout out to our always hard working Parents and Friends Community (PFC) volunteers who were manning the Bake Sale, fried countless sausages and helped out wherever they were needed the most.

Mr Kinsella and ASCA (Â鶹´«Ã½ Cricket Academy) students sold out on their beanie and scarves by midday, as did many of our students who had home made slime, Lebanese pastries, jewelry and much more available for sale while available.

Our feature video is a beautiful summary in words, smiles and pictures of the ASC Eid Al-Fitr Festival and celebrations at the College held on Monday, 17 May 2021.

When the final bell rang at 3.30pm, many parents and community members joined the festivities with their younger children as well, bringing the whole community together. It was a truly remarkable and fun day and we are very grateful to bring so much joy to our Â鶹´«Ã½ family. We thank each and every one of you who have helped to make this year’s Eid Festival happen and so successful, and greatly look forward to going even bigger in the coming year, inShaAllah.
