From 7 Aug: Hayston Boulevard Temporarily Closed

Big Build Roads are adding extra lanes on Epping Road in each direction and updating key intersections between Craigieburn Road East and Memorial Avenue. To complete this work safely, they will close side roads at Epping Road for several weeks.

From 7 Aug: Hayston Boulevard Temporarily Closed

From Thursday, 8 August until late October 2024, Big Build Roads will temporarily close Hayston Boulevard at Epping Road, so they can safely upgrade the intersection.

During this time, they will

  • upgrade existing lanes, kerbs and medians
  • install new drainage and a new traffic island
  • build new turning lanesin and out of Hayston Blvd
  • build sections of the new southbound lanes on Epping Road
  • add new traffic signals and public lighting.

Traffic Changes

Epping Road will remain open in both directions and access to Hayston Boulevard will be maintained via Harvest Home Road and Fletcher Street. Please see the attached map for more information. Delays of up to 5 minutes are expected.

Delays at the intersection of Epping Rd and Lyndarum Drive/Hayston Blvd

To prepare for the closure of Hayston Blvd, traffic will be stopped frequently at the intersection of Epping Rd and Lyndarum Drive from 7am – 5pm on Thursday, 8th August 2024.

Delays of up to 15 minutes are expected during peak times. Please plan your journey and allow extra time if travelling through the area.
