Dear Community – Asalaamu Alaikum,
Hope you are all well. Eid Mubarak to all of you and your families. This is an important time for us, as it reminds us about the importance of sacrifice for the sake of Allah. May Allah accept our good deeds, sacrifices and the Hajj of the lucky few who are able to perform Hajj this year.
I understand your disappointment as we head into another Eid in lockdown. Whilst our celebrations will be subdued, I know that you will all be looking at ways to make the most out of a frustrating situation.
At times when things do not go our way, our Deen teaches us to look at those in less favourable situations then us. When we do this, our disappointments will be overlayed with a feeling of gratitude and happiness – two feelings that are important during the celebration of Eid. Alhamdulilah, we have so much to be thankful for.
We know that Allah is the best of planners, and He creates ease after difficulty. We ask Allah to grant us afiya (ease) and allow families to unite once the lockdown has ended.
