A kind reminder to please not forget to email us a photo of your beautiful an creative Ramadan decoration at home or your Iftar family feast BY NEXT MONDAY, 27 April 2020.
This year, our most honoured and anticipated guest, the holy month of Ramadan will be a very different experience for us all, with the College’s musallah closed as like all other places of worship in the country. Families won’t be able to come together as usual for the daily breaking of the fast (iftar) nor to pray Tarawih in unison with our brothers and sisters.
Now more than ever it is important that we stay connected with our school community. Allahu Ta’ala created us as one ummah, so we may be of support to one another, share our feelings of joy (and yes, frustration, too), relieve us of stress, feelings of loneliness and to stop the build-up of anxiety.
We would like to invite you to email us photos or a short description of how YOU and your family have welcomed the month of mercy, blessings and forgiveness: Do you plan on doing anything special with your children, like having a Ramadan calendar hung up on the wall or sending the kids for a little treasure hunt each night after maghrib?
We would love to hear from you on info@alsiraat.vic.edu.au and look forward to sharing your joy and excitement with our community.
