Council is installing new road safety platforms (traffic management devices) at Hayston Boulevard near the Shaftsbury Drive and Maria Drive intersections in Epping. Some kerb modification and drainage works will also be carried out.
The works are scheduled to occur from 27 May to 28 June 2024, subject to weather conditions. Should there be bad weather or unforeseen circumstances, it may result in the works being rescheduled at short notice.
Construction works often involve the use of heavy machinery and hazardous materials. To ensure your safety and the safety of all workers, please follow the directions of all staff at the worksite and comply with all warning signs and speed limits.
The movement of construction vehicles may result in some disruptions to traffic and pedestrians.
While some delays are expected, Hayston Boulevard will be open to traffic throughout the project, except for one or two days during asphalt works when localised detours will be in place between 7am and 3.30pm. Access to the bicycle lane and footpath will be temporarily affected during the drainage and kerb works.
